Asphalt and Concrete Solutions presentation/demo
On October 13 GRM, in partnership with City of Victoria engineering and public works department, hosted an info/demo session on our asphalt/concrete products in the City’s public works yard. There were over 50 attendees representing a broad cross section of public and private sector managers. Organizations attending included municipalities from Victoria to Nanaimo, the Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, Victoria Harbor Authority, School District #61, ICL Concrete, and private contractors. Daryl Finlayson, Senior Materials and Pavement Engineer for the Ministry of Transportation was in attendance, as was Jeff Welch, the Roads and Drainage Manager for the City of Surrey; he made the trek across the water to join us! It was a great turnout for our first demonstration on the Island.
Gord Oliver from BPS provided product details on Replay, Activate, Anti-Ice, and GRM’s line of concrete sealers and stains. After a delicious lunch, all products were demonstrated in the public works yard. Later in the day, The City of Victoria also had GRM treat the Bay Street Bridge with Replay in addition to a section of Government Street.
