• Sanding

  Sanding operations are part of the GRM snow & ice control management services. We are equipped with a wide range of sander units to suit all our clients needs.

  Pre-wetted sand

  Sand can be enhanced by adding calcium chloride.

  Prewetting with calcium chloride:

  • helps to embed the sand into compacted snow and ice
  • reduces blow off
  • reduces the frequency of applications
  • reduces material use by as much as 40%
  • provides freeze-proofing for sand piles

  • avoids freezing in equipment and is therefore easier to apply
