2008 - 2009 SEASON
November 28 brought first real snowfall but warm wet weather without ground frost had greater Kelowna not feeling like winter yet.....
December Summary: One of the coldest and snowiest December in history: 19 days and 172 hours of precipitation with freezing rain & wet flurries on well frozen ground to start the month off (read as “ICE”). Overall 30 to 40% more service work necessary than any other single month this decade.
January Summary: We got more snow than normal for this month…..all in the first 10 days! The end of this snowy period left some wicked black ice before about 20 days of no precipitation- or real good melting weather
February Summary: A few good snowfalls with temperatures still remained cold.
